2025-0415 Baseball V | Stone Ridge at Waterford

It was a long day when Senior Night for baseball rolled around. For starters, it was the dreaded Tax Day, but I’d also been out at my kid’s school donating my time to photograph two adorable presentations of the American Revolution (the irony was lost on the kids). I’d strained my hand working on my wife’s car over the weekend, and lugging around my brick of a camera wasn’t doing it any favors. By performance two I’d already swung by the store and picked a brace which made me feel like I was running bases with one of those sliding gloves they use now. The boys did a fantastic job but I wish I could have been a bit quicker with my camera getting to some of the action. There was a brief time where it seemed like the teams might get a little chippy, but it quickly evolved into lighthearted banter. A great segue into a Senior Night presentation followed by a barbecue. While I stayed for the presentation, I did not get any photos of the barbecue itself and in hindsight I wish I’d stuck it out just a little longer to document the hard work everyone put into it but I DID get photos of those senior signs and proud families.
